Lidt over 2 uger siden sidste blogindlæg. Fedt med alt den respons der kom efter Rasmus linkede til posten på Amino.
Går med tanker om at stoppe min “beskedne” anonymitet på denne blog. Lave den om, fra en decideret rejseblog til en kombineret rejseblog / personlig blog og begynde at lave mere indholdsrige indlæg a.la. det forrige. Måske endda bevæge mig over i nogle posts omkring online marketing.
Mine forbehold har tidligere været – tænk nu hvis… tænk nu hvis arbejdsgiveren så med… tænk nu hvis… men et eller andet sted, fuck det. Vi er i 2010. Facebook, twitter, 4square. Jeg kan stå inde for mine blogs, jeg kan stå inde for det jeg skriver… Hvis en arbejdsgiver fravælger mig på baggrund af det… Well hey så er det sku’ nok heller ikke det sted jeg gider arbejde anyway!
For mit vedkommende går det godt. Jeg skal til møde i Inkubatoren, et iværksætter hus for unge, 2 dage efter jeg kommer hjem. SKAL ha’ et kontor der, så jeg kan komme ud af mit soveværelset og gang i firmaet. Det ser jeg frem til!
Vil være løgn at sige at jeg har haft travlt på det seneste med de sidste 5 eksamer. For det har jeg bestemt ikke. Som udvekslingsstuderende har man også den frihed, at man kan spekulere i karakterer. CBS overfører alle fag hernede som værende bestået / ikke bestået. Det vil sige jeg skal ha’ over 10,5 på en 20 skala hernede. En karakter jeg i de fleste fag har opnået allerede inden final exam. Derfor kunne jeg også efter blot 10 min forlade eksaminationslokalet og spise en tidlig frokost i torsdags.
Ærlig talt er jeg skræmt over hvilket niveau undervisningen er på her i Peru. Vi snakker kandidat studerende på sidste semester, der vælger engelske fag uden at kunne et ord engelsk. Personer der snakker telefon i undervisning, ikke overholder deadlines, bruger cheatsheets til eksamerne og hvor projekter ofte ligner noget fra et dansk gymnasie. Dette er det 3 højest rangerende universitet i Peru. Et land med 28 millioner indbyggere. Nå ja og med det vil jeg også sige til de danske hoveder, der er bange for globaliseringen og udenlandsk arbejdskraft der tager vores jobs. Tag det roligt. Den udenlandske arbejdskraft kommer ihvertfald ikke de næste 10 år fra Peru, med den tilgang de har til karriere, viden & selvledelse.
Kan man spansk og vil starte sin egen virksomhed er der gigantiske muligheder i Peru! Der er guld på gaden der venter på at blive samlet op. De marketingsbudgetter der opereres med er overraskende store, selv med europæiske øjne… og med lidt go-get it mentalitet er der mange døre åbne. Lige et sidespring.
Jeg har lige haft besøg af min far, 6 dage med ham. Rart med besøg hjemmefra og vi spildte bestemt ikke tiden. Den stod på Machu Pichu, Inkariget, Cusco, drinks, god mad & champions league. Der blev lavet en liste udfra Tripadvisor’s top restauranter og så stod den på peruviansk gourmet. Det var en udsøgt fornøjelse at komme hele vejen rundt, fra Gaston Acurio over Rafael Osterling. Efter at have rejst det meste af kloden tynd, er jeg kommet til den konklusion at Peru’s køkken er et af verdens bedste. Deres nyfundne stolthed (båret frem af Gaston) har gjort at Peru nu er det land i verden med flest kokke per indbygger. Utrolige mængder af frisk fisk, alverdens frugter, cuy (a.k.a. marsvin), Chifa & Chaufa (kinesisk fusion), 1200 arter af kartofler, jeg kunne blive ved.
Som sagt er jeg imponeret af deres køkken ikke blot deres upper-class restauranter der laver gourmet versioner af deres traditionelle retter… men også folkets køkken er af høj klasse.Vi fik smagt på et par peruvianske vine, overraskende nok var der ikke en finger at sætte på dem. Det er ellers ikke god vin jeg umiddelbart vil forbinde med Peru… men der tog jeg fejl.
Idag var vi – “gruppen” – ude og spise på en velkendt fiskerestaurent til frokost, La Mar Cebicheria, der også kan findes i San Fran, Bogota, Panama, Brazil og Chile. De fleste internationale studerende begynder at stikke af nu, så det var rart lige at få det sidste måltid sammen.
For teknologi nørderne kan jeg fortælle, at bestillingen af de forskellige retter foregik via en iPhone app. Alle tjenerne havde en iPhone, der var forbundet til køkkenet, hvorpå de tog vores ordre.
